Miracles!

Thanks, Mom, for the Easter Baskets for me and my companions!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and conference weekend! I don't know if there has ever been better weather on a conference weekend... I'm trying to soak in alllll the sunshine I can get because I got my visa and am leaving for England this week!!!🌧 It is a total miracle. Because of a complication with my visa application it looked like they were going to have to restart the process, but THANKFULLY an exception was made and I'm headed across the pond. Ever since I've become a missionary I've been blown away by all the miracles I've seen!!! Here are a few more from this week:

1. I got vaccinated! I was able to get the J&J vaccine, which I was praying for because I knew I wouldn't have time to get a 2-dose vaccine. This will likely allow me to quarantine for a shorter time in England and jump right into the work!

2. Arturo watched conference!!! Definitely a highlight of my Easter. We've been teaching Arturo for a couple of weeks now and he is absolutely amazing. He has received everything we've taught him so far with such an open heart!

3. Paislee! Last Sunday we fasted that we would be able to set a baptism date for at least one of our friends before we leave. (After this week, I go to England, Sister Hooper goes home and Sister Sheppard goes back to Nauvoo.) We weren't sure who it would be, but we made plans and were ready to go when we got a call from one of the ward mission leaders in our area... He said, "I have great news! There's a family that just moved in and they’ve been inactive for a time but want to come back to church. And they have a 9-yr-old daughter they want to have taught and baptized!" MIRACLE!

I’m always going to treasure this time that I had to be a missionary in my hometown. I’m so grateful for the people I’ve met in the Wasatch Stake and for the lessons the Lord has taken time to teach me before I move a bazillion miles away from my family. As Elder Wong said yesterday, “God knows the details of the details of the details of our lives.”

In the spirit of Easter, I’ll sign off with my testimony of the Savior— I know He lives!!! And it’s the most life-changing, hope-giving truth of all time. He overcame all things so that He could "loose the bands of death” and “be filled with mercy” for us. I hope you can all feel the light of His love this season and always.☀

Love you all SO much!
