Cheers for Service!
Chorley has lots of these artsy benches and we found one that was Bible themed!

Hiya everyone!
I hope that this email finds you all happy and healthy! My second full week in Chorley is officially in the books. My favorite part of Chorley is Astley Park, which is only one block from our flat. It is absolutely gorgeous and this week I discovered a trail that reminds me of Pipeline in Millcreek Canyon. Anyone who knows me knows that Pipeline is pretty much my heaven on earth, so discovering that trail was such a tender mercy. I know that it's no coincidence that God placed me here! It was a testament to me that God knows, loves and is aware of me. He truly is in the details of our lives.
We did quite a few service projects this week and to our surprise, the weather cooperated!!!️ We posted on Facebook a while back offering free service for people who need help with their gardens, and we got a great response! We've been helping out a woman named Cathie and were able to give her a Book of Mormon this week! She's a Christian and loves the Bible, so we're excited to hear her thoughts on the Book of Mormon. We also helped Cathie's friend Jan, and when we finished she gave us each a little bouquet of purple flowers She and her daughter Alice are really sweet. They watched the church meeting virtually this week, so were hoping they'll make it in person next week!
Other highlights of the week include helping our friend Sharon prepare for baptism and our friend Michelle gain a testimony of the Book of Mormon. It's so humbling to witness our friends' sacrifice and determination to completely turn around their lives in an effort to follow Jesus Christ. They are truly elect children of our Heavenly Parents and I feel so blessed that our paths have crossed!
We ended the week with the Why I Believe devotional, and if you follow me on facebook you know what I'm talking about because I've been spamming your feed with it all week (sorry). But it was really wonderful! Every other month the EMM hosts this devotional to highlight the testimonies of recent converts in Northwest England. Hearing about how the gospel of Jesus Christ has brought joy and purpose into these people's lives was so inspiring. It was a reminder to me that "...whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men [and women]". (Ether 12:4)
I know that my faith in Jesus Christ and my relationship with Him has been an anchor to my soul. Because of Jesus Christ and His gospel, I have understanding of who I am and vision for who I can become. His promise is the same for every single person on the planet: "if ye will come unto me ye shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those who come unto me." (3Ne 9:14)
Anyways, sorry of the long email this week - if you read this far you're my hero haha. I love you all so, so much!! Choose faith
Xoxo Sister Bowler
