Facebook miracles!

Birthday flowers from Sister Kis

Hiya friends and family!

It's official... I'm in love with Chorley. I love being near the temple and I love all the wonderful people I've met!

This week I attended my first zone conference in the EMM! We held it in the MTC building, and I discovered a "Gordon B. Hinckley Room" along with his portrait and mission plaque. I feel so blessed to serve in a place that means so much to him! It makes England feel a little more like home. One highlight of zone conference was a finding workshop where we sent voice messages to people on Facebook messenger inviting them to come to sacrament meeting. We had six people say yes!!! Of course not all of them were able to make it to church on Sunday, but it was still a great way to start conversations about the gospel. Honestly, the fact that there are people who respond to messages from strangers about attending church is incredible to me! Truly the only reason Facebook finding works is because the Church is true. πŸ˜…

Another highlight of the past couple weeks was HIKING! Last Monday a member took us up to an area called White Coppice where we hiked though the greenest hills I've ever seen! Those who know me know that hiking trails are my happy place, so it was a tender mercy to be able to hike on my mission! It truly felt like a birthday present straight from Heaven. I'll include pictures below!!

Finally, here's a little update on Sharon,  the lady we invited to be baptized a few weeks ago. For the last couple weeks we have had a really hard time getting in contact with her--she hasn't been answering our messages, her phone or even her door. We felt like we had done everything we could when the Lord sent an unexpected miracle our way... Sharon messaged us on Facebook! We ended up having an amazing lesson with her and she confirmed her testimony of the Book of Mormon and her desire to be baptized. She continues to face opposition, but I know that she can overcome it because of her strong faith in Jesus Christ. If you could pray for Sharon, that would be amazing!!!

Thank you to everyone who sent me birthday wishes this week.♡ Even though I couldn't be with you all, I felt so loved!! Sister Kis and I celebrated with cake, flowers and a Jolley's birthday banner all the way from SLC.😊

I really love being a missionary. And I'm so grateful for all the wonderful people I get to cross paths with here in England. Alma 29:9 sums it up perfectly:

"I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do not glory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy."

I love and miss you all!!! Don't forget to choose faith.🌟
